Ellen L. Madison, Ph.D., a retired high school English teacher and part-time gardener and community volunteer, is your host. She will be happy to fill you in on Westerly's history -- her family has been in town since 1636 and she is the fourth generation to live on her family's farm. Her cat Jennie provides free entertainment when she is so inclined. Ellen has co-authored a book on the history of the Westerly granite industry which can be found in your room. |
